01. The B2B Manufacturing Order Workflow
Silvon International operates a structured 8-step contract manufacturing protocol engineered to eliminate technical discrepancies, maintain rigorous sizing accuracy, and safeguard capital investment from concept to factory gate:
Project Inquiry & Technical Assessment
The buyer submits collection sketches, reference garments, tech packs, or sample images outlining desired silhouettes, target fabric GSM or leather hide grades, and projected order volumes.
Engineering Consultation & Cost Estimation
Our merchandisers and pattern masters review material yields, stitching complexity, hardware casting, and private labeling requirements to formulate a comprehensive commercial quotation.
Prototype & Sample Development
Following mutual agreement on commercial terms, our sample department develops physical prototype garments, customized lab dips, leather swatch cards, and embroidery strike-offs.
Sample Review & Pre-Production Approval
The buyer inspects the physical prototype for fit, hand-feel, silhouette, and construction. Any adjustments are documented, and written sign-off is established on the "Gold Seal" master sample.
Order Confirmation & Downpayment
A formal Proforma Invoice (PI) and manufacturing contract are executed. The buyer remits the agreed production deposit (typically 50%), locking in raw material procurement schedules.
Bulk Manufacturing & In-Line Quality Control
Fabric knitting/dyeing or hide tanning is completed. Precision cutting, screen-printing, embroidery, walking-foot leather stitching, and assembly proceed under continuous in-line quality supervision.
Final AQL Inspection & Export Packaging
Finished garments undergo steam pressing, trim cleaning, 100% measurement verification, and final AQL 2.5 audit before being packed into individual polybags/dustbags and heavy-duty 7-ply export cartons.
Export Dispatch & Global Logistics
Upon final balance settlement and pre-shipment sign-off, consignments are handed over to international freight forwarders or couriers with commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
02. Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)
Minimum Order Quantities are established based upon industrial manufacturing parameters, including textile mill knitting lot sizes, tannery drum dyeing minimums, and custom metal hardware mold setup requirements:
- Division 01 — Leather Outerwear & Goods: Standard MOQ is typically 25 to 50 pieces per style/colorway across standard size distributions (XS to 2XL). Certain specialized shearling or exotic tannages may carry distinct thresholds.
- Division 02 — Cut & Sew Apparel & Streetwear: Standard MOQ is typically 50 to 100 pieces per style/colorway for custom-dyed heavyweight fleece, French terry, and premium jersey.
- Multi-Product Collections: Sourcing managers planning integrated seasonal collections across multiple styles are encouraged to consult our engineering desk for aggregate production arrangements.
03. Prototype Development & Sampling Policy
Sampling allows both parties to verify design accuracy, pattern drape, and material integrity before mass manufacturing:
- Development Costs: Prototype and sales samples are invoiced at customized development rates reflecting individual pattern engineering and master artisan cutting. Where specified in the commercial quotation, sampling fees may be credited in full or part against qualifying bulk production orders.
- Sample Lead Times: Standard turnaround for garment and leather prototypes typically spans 10 to 15 business days following tech pack receipt and fee remittance. Bespoke metal hardware molds or specialized hide finishing may require additional lead time.
- Revisions & Comments: Minor pattern or fit adjustments requested on the first prototype are incorporated into the pre-production reference standard prior to bulk cutting.
04. Manufacturing Variables & Operational Factors
Production lead times and unit costs may vary according to several operational factors:
- Raw Material Availability: In-stock hides versus specialized vegetable tanning drum runs; standard cotton yarns versus custom combed organic French terry.
- Design Complexity: Intricate multi-panel motorcycle racing jackets with armored pockets require significantly higher stitching hours than minimalist bombers.
- Embellishments & Branding: Complex chain-stitch embroidery, chenille patches, high-density screen printing, or custom embossed leather pullers.
- Buyer Approval Milestones: Timely receipt of fit feedback, lab dip approvals, and production deposit payments directly influence factory throughput.
05. Production Timelines & Scheduling
Standard bulk manufacturing lead times generally range from three (3) to six (6) weeks, calculated strictly from the date of:
- Final written sign-off on the pre-production sample or approved spec sheet.
- Formal confirmation of size breakdowns and colorway distributions.
- Receipt of the contracted production downpayment in our banking account.
While Silvon International exerts every commercially reasonable effort to meet or exceed targeted dispatch schedules, quoted dates represent industrial estimates and may be subject to minor variance due to raw material milling schedules, seasonal factory capacity loading, or unexpected supply chain bottlenecks.
06. International Logistics & Transport Modes
From our manufacturing facilities in Sialkot, Pakistan, we coordinate worldwide export consignments through accredited logistics channels:
- Express Air Courier (DHL / FedEx / UPS): Recommended for urgent sample deliveries, capsule pre-launches, and high-value leather consignments. Typical transit time is 3 to 7 business days to major global hubs (USA, UK, EU, Canada, Australia).
- Commercial Air Cargo: Recommended for medium-to-large seasonal bulk shipments requiring rapid transit. Consignments arrive at buyer-designated international airport cargo terminals within 5 to 9 business days.
- Ocean Freight (FCL / LCL Container Cargo): The most cost-effective solution for large-volume cut & sew apparel orders. Dispatched via Sialkot Dry Port and Karachi Seaport with typical sea transit spanning 20 to 35 calendar days depending on destination port.
07. Incoterms, Import Duties & Customs Responsibilities
International shipments are executed under international commercial terms (ICC Incoterms® 2020):
- FOB (Free On Board — Karachi / Sialkot): Silvon covers all domestic Pakistani transport, export documentation, and loading. Buyer assumes freight costs, marine insurance, and destination clearance.
- CIF / CFR (Cost, Insurance & Freight): Silvon arranges and prepays ocean/air freight to the buyer's designated destination port.
- EXW (Ex Works — Factory Sialkot): Buyer's nominated freight forwarder collects goods directly from our Sialkot factory gate.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Where explicitly contracted in writing, Silvon coordinates end-to-end door delivery including customs clearance and duties.
08. Factory Quality Audits & Third-Party Inspections
Every consignment manufactured at Silvon International is audited against international Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL 2.5 / 4.0) standards:
- Raw Material Verification: Grammage (GSM) verification, colorfastness rubbing tests, leather hide grading, and tensile seam strength checks.
- In-Line Assembly Audits: Needle precision, stitch density (SPI — Stitches Per Inch), clean edge burnishing, and zipper alignment.
- Independent Third-Party Audits: Buyers maintain the right to commission international inspection agencies (such as SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, or QIMA) to perform on-site pre-shipment inspections at our Sialkot facility prior to dispatch.
09. Receiving Inspection & Claim Procedures
Upon receipt of export consignments, the buyer must implement standard intake quality controls:
- Reporting Window: Any genuine manufacturing defects, severe dimensional deviations exceeding allowable tolerances, or missing units must be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days of delivery receipt.
- Claim Substantiation: Claims must include high-resolution photos, measurement documentation against the approved tech pack, carton numbers, and a detailed summary of affected garments.
- Equitable Resolution: Where a genuine manufacturing discrepancy attributable to factory error is verified, Silvon International will provide an equitable commercial remedy, which may include replacement units in the subsequent shipment, credit memos, or repair allowances.
10. Natural Leather, Suede & Artisan Material Characteristics
Our master leather cutters meticulously match panels to achieve harmonious appearance across every garment. However, buyers should recognize that natural leather and suede garments possess distinct organic individuality that differentiates authentic hides from synthetic polyurethane materials.
